The Life of Rev. George Herbert –is a biography of George Herbert, published in 1842 and written by Izaak Walton. Izaak Walton was an English writer of 17th century. Also he was the founder of the genre of biography in English literature, the author of the biographies of famous figures of the 17th century. Isaac Walton was the first biographer of George Herbert. George Herbert was a Welsh-born poet, Anglican priest and orator. His poetry is associated with the works of metaphysical poets, and he is recognized as "one of the leading British religious lyricists." In the Church of England, Herbert is canonized.
