This book is a collection of songs and poems in Gaelic written by Duncan Ban MacIntyre. He was one of the most famous Scottish Gaelic poets. Duncan Ban MacIntyre was an integral part of one of the golden ages of Gaelic poetry in Scotland during the 18th century. This is thirteenth edition with an English translation of “Ben Dorain” and “Coire Cheathaich”, published in 1908. Despite the fact that the author could not read and, therefore, could not write his poems when they were composed, his memory was so persistent that he could quote all of his poems and most of his local bards. This book contains more than fifty poems and songs of the author. Also included is a brief biographical sketch of the life of Duncan Ban MacIntyre.
