Book description

Hernando de Soto was a Spanish navigator and conquistador with the title Adelantado, who led the first European conquest expedition north of Mexico, deep into the territory of the modern United States. He was also the first European to cross the Mississippi River and left documentary evidence of this. This book is based on the conquest of Florida by Hernando de Soto in 1539. This book is a translation of the diaries and notes of Hernando de Soto's close associates, revealing to us a history that took place many centuries ago. This book was published in two volumes and this is the second volume of the 1904 edition.
