Alexander Whyte


Rev. Alexander Whyte (1836 - 1921) was a popular preacher and author. Born in the small Angus town of Kirriemuir, Whyte was educated at Aberdeen University and the Free Church College in Edinburgh. Whyte was an assistant minister at Free St. Johns in Glasgow. Following that, he was a colleague at Free St. George’s in Edinburgh. During his lifetime he was known as a wonderful preacher. Whyte’s sermons could reach the hearts of his congregation and shake them to the foundations of their being.
