The Teaching of History

This book is based upon lectures to students in training and to evening classes of teachers. The author hopes that in this form, opinions and suggestions will be useful to other young teachers and even those with more mature experience. The author's goal was to simply and clearly deal with the problems that often perplex those teachers who do not have a specific history education and do not specialize in teaching history. Why is it necessary to teach History in schools? Which parts of the teacher will I choose for the diagram? What books can we advise on the subject of History? What illustrations can we use? What place should the primary sources occupy in the teaching? Does dramatizing the subject matter? How to connect history with art, literature and manual labor? These are some of the questions that the author has often been asked and tried to answer in this book. The advice given by the author is of a practical nature, since it is not the result of theorizing, but of many years of teaching experience.
