The Reactions of Calcium Carbide with the Vapors of Certain Organic Compounds is a dissertation written and published in 1916 by Aloysius John McGrail. Aloysius John McGrail was head of the Chemistry Dept. at Providence College. The dissertation on the subject “The Reactions of Calcium Carbide with the Vapors of Certain Organic Compounds” was submitted to the Faculty of Sciences of the Catholic University of America with partial fulfillment of the requirements for a Ph.D. in 1916.
