Love Of Fame, The Universal Passion – are characteristical satires written by Edward Young. He was an English poet-Freemason, pioneer of the cemetery, poet of the era of sentimentalism, critic, philosopher and theologian. Between 1725 and 1728, Young published a series of seven satyrs on universal passions. These satirs were dedicated to the Duke of Dorset, Sir Spencer Compton, Lady Elizabeth Germain, George Bubb Dodington and Sir Robert Walpole Altogether these satires were collected in 1728 as "Love of Fame, the Universal Passion". This book is an edition of 1741.
