A dozen new poems – is a collection of poems, which was published in 1920 and written by Edgar Albert Guest. Edgar Albert Guest was a British-born American poet of the 20th century. Guest became best known as a folk poet. His poems often showed an optimistic and inspired view on everyday life. This collection consists of twelve poems, such as: The Grate Fire; When Mother's Sewing Buttons On; The Homely Man; The Better Job; Life; The Chip V On Your Shoulder; The Joys We Miss; The Call; The Common Touch; Golf Pride; Living and The Fellowship Of Books. Also, the edition is illustrated with six wonderful illustrations by different artists, depicting scenes of people’s daily life, in accordance with the insistence of the poems.
