J. G. Norwood

Joseph Granville Norwood (1807 to 1895) was a medical doctor / scientist who held several positions government bodies engaged in the geological exploration of the upper Midwest. He completed his career as professor of medicine at the medical school at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, and served as its first dean.
