Jean-Baptiste Henri-Dominique Lacordaire (born 12 May 1802, and died 21 November 1861), is often known as Henri-Dominique Lacordaire. He was a French ecclesiast, preacher, political activist, journalist, and theologian who re-established the Dominican Order in France after the Revolution. Lacordaire was widely regarded as the greatest pulpit orator of the 19th century.
