George Sterling


George Sterling (December 1, 1869 to November 17, 1926) was a US author based in San Francisco and Carmel-by-the-Sea. A proponent of Bohemianism in the first quarter of the twentieth century, he was seen as a prominent poet and playwright, his works admired by authors as diverse as Jack London, Theodore Dreiser, Upton Sinclair, and Sinclair Lewis. He is largely unknown today.
