C. K. Ogden


Charles Kay Ogden (1889 to 1957) was a linguist, philosopher, and author in England who has been described as a polymath and eccentric outsider. He participated in numerous activities touching on literature, philosophy, politics, and the arts as an editor, translator, and activist form a reformed English language. Often called a linguistic psychologist, and is now mostly remembered as inventor and champion of Basic English.
